“Advisors working from home? That’ll never work.”

That’s what one person told MTA co-ounder Karen Merricks when she first set out to reinvent the travel advisor model.

More than 25 years later, Karen and her husband Roy would go on to sell MTA - a model built entirely on advisors working from home - to Helloworld for $50 million.

Hear more from Karen (including her secret sci-fi addiction) here.

The Travel Corporation's Toni Ambler on turning 40, why she chose travel over being a ballerina, and what it meant to have her daughter see her crowned 'Woman of the Year' at last year’s Women in Travel Awards:

“It’s a big year for me - I’m turning 40, and I want to be the best version of myself: the healthiest, strongest, and fittest I can possibly be by the time I hit that milestone."

"I want to be able to keep up with my three kids, which is a huge motivator. At the same time, it’s a challenge, balancing those personal wellness goals with everything we have going on at TTC.”

Chongqing, the cyberpunk city that never sleeps!

Every corner in this breathtaking municipality feels alive, vividly electric, and endlessly fascinating. The buildings rise and intertwine with the mountains, creating a stunning, euphoric haven.

A week ago I came to Chongqing only knowing that Transformers 4 was filmed in the Wulong District. Now, after witnessing this stunning city, I know it has way more to offer, with every nook and cranny delivering something uniquely special for all tastes!

A week I will never forget! 🐼🇨🇳
