The entire community of Grindavik, Iceland has been evacuated amid warnings of an imminent volcanic eruption.

Hundreds of tremors have hit southern Iceland. Nearly 4,000 people have been evacuated from their homes, over fears of a volcanic eruption. But residents of Grindavik were allowed to go back home briefly, to collect belongings.

Waving white flags, a family has captured their journey out of Gaza City as heavy fighting rages nearby.

As intense Israeli bombardments shook his neighbourhood near Gaza City, a small group of neighbours made their escape waving white flags. Their journey filmed on mobile phone, providing rare footage of the situation inside Gaza.

Top End tourism operators entering the traditionally popular dry season say visitor numbers are down half from their pre-pandemic peak.

Its the beginning of the dry season in the Top End and what should be the peak of the tourist season. International visitors are still down from pre-pandemic levels and hotel occupancy rates are just over half, leaving many are wondering if this will be the year tourism returns to normal.
