✨ Episode 1 is Here! ✨
I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off this journey than with the incredible Salma Kahale—a powerhouse in feminist advocacy and NGO leadership. Salma’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. Born in Syria, she moved to Canada at 15 but later returned to her homeland . Salma has a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, she has co-founded and led an NGO and served as the MENA Director at the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, championing women’s rights across the region. Now in Greenland raising her three kids, Salma’s story is one of courage, purpose, and impact.
We discuss:
✅ Leaving Syria and returning to fight for change
✅ The feminist landscape in Syria in the early 2000s under the Assad regime
✅ Co-founding an NGO in the middle of a war
✅ The biggest challenges women face in the region
✅ Balancing motherhood, leadership, and advocacy across continents
This episode is raw, insightful, and a must-listen for anyone who cares about leadership, resilience, and the power of women’s voices.
