The weather has been crazy lately. Just check out what happened this weekend (watch the whole way through to see the hail)!

This past weekend in Newcastle, during the Rd 24 Jersey Flegg match between Newcastle Knights and St George-Illawarra Dragons, you can see we battled intense weather.
- wind so crazy the camera can’t be held straight
- rain so heavy you can’t see through the lens
- and hail, directly hitting our camera guy and gear
We can’t even imagine what it was like to play in this weather... and glad they were called off the field for their own safety.

At BarTV Sports we’re no stranger to these conditions. We’re constantly filming uncovered and in all elements to bring you coverage of your favourite grassroots sports. Whilst we understand it can be an occupational hazard and we do everything we can under these conditions, we have lost gear, and the safety of our camera operators and commentators is our top priority! We film in parks, not stadiums...
We politely ask for your kindness as you take this into consideration.

Just take a watch as the crazy weather shows:
- wind too heavy to keep the camera straight
- rain hitting hard and suddenly
- lightning
- and hail that not just hit the field, but the players and our camera guy
