We usually talk about pesticides one by one. But soil doesn’t work that way.
Soil accumulates substances over time.
What remains is not a single molecule, but a cocktail.
That cocktail doesn’t stay underground.

Soil is a living, connected system. What accumulates there can move into food, water, air and dust, and affect human health.

This is why current discussions on pesticide authorisations matter.
Speeding approvals while soil contamination and cocktail effects remain poorly monitored creates a blind spot.

Protecting human health means taking pesticide cocktails in soil seriously.
This is a soil security issue.

It’s time to shift up a gear if we want to finish P1.
Soil erosion is accelerating, and the only way to stay in the race is to protect the ground beneath our feet.
🌱 Keep soil covered.
💧 Improve infiltration.
🪵 Strengthen roots.
The real championship is under our feet.

As someone named Quentin, I’m no stranger to typos.
But this one: “aurora” instead of “aroura” took me somewhere unexpected.
I’ve never seen an aurora in person (still on the bucket list). But while reading about how auroras form and why they shine in different colors, something clicked.
We think of auroras as a sky thing and soil as... well, dirt. But both tell stories through color.
One dances with light. The other holds it quietly in every layer.
Iron reds. Organic blacks. Even blue and green surprises.
There’s more magic beneath our feet than we often notice.
So if you ever find yourself looking up, searching the sky for something spectacular, don’t forget to look down too.
Because soil?
That’s an aurora you can walk on.

🇬🇧Last time I rewatched Tron: Legacy, I was reminded of one truth — control is an illusion.

Soil, too, pushes back when we try to dominate it.

True control begins with understanding. 🌍
