Seeing a client yesterday and hearing her talk about her lack of passion for her business made me think that when we are so busy working 'hard' in our businesses we can easily fall out of love with them.​​​​​​​​

Reigniting the passion and remembering why you started your business if so important as a necessary part of keeping aligned with your vision and what catalyst made you start the business in the first place.​​​​​​​​

I can proudly say that I really don't confidently know my 7 times tables....and that I am totally fine with it! I never was captivated by maths but managed to do an Economics degree and get a Distinction is Econometrics.....⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you want something bad enough you will find a way to learn what you don't know and achieve what other might think is impossible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

✌ When I was about 7 I used to count on my fingers and my Mum scolded me as she though I should be able to do all the sums in my head.... turns out I learn visually and retain information from what I have seen not what I heard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👩‍🏫My parents were pretty lax with education so I would beg to stay home from school each Monday in Year 3 as our witch of a principal Miss Gordon would have us for Maths. So I loved staying home with my grandmother watching Days of Our Lives and young and the Restless... every Monday for a whole year.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📚To those of us who are home schooling at the moment.... don't stress the small things... I don't think they are important. Teaching our children good decision making skills and resilience on the other hand are huge component of their learning..... remember we are teaching them just by being ourselves.... what they see and hear they will replicate ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💃You need to be a little be odd, unusual, different, left of centre, cray cray to stand out from the crowd, to dance to the beat of your own drum and not be hypnotised by the white noise that can be coming from every angle. I just love the statement " You have to be odd to be #1".... a little maths with a little tongue in cheek.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I had so much planned for 2021…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙌Launching my new website⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙌Starting my Alpha Women Rising Podcast⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙌Building new coaching programs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And things were gently put on the holding shelf, as new quests got my undivided attention⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Quests like….⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Supporting my beautiful mum through clot complications (she’s someone who doesn’t ask for help)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Unexpectedly selling our family home and buying another in the same week⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Jumping off the contraceptive pill (genetic risk of clots now!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨My hormones going awol… feeling like I was 15 again…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Supporting my incredible clients reach their potential ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Teen Volunteer Mentoring at Raise ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Usually having so much on my plate would mean I would be madly running from person to person but this time I knew I didn’t have the energy capacity I used to. I kept repeating a mantra in my head to keep me level and focused.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“It’s just a process, its just a process, its just a process”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was innately telling myself that no matter what time constraints or emotional demands I felt that I was literally just going through the motions and all is well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This kept me from toppling over the overwhelm edge which would have not server anyone, especially me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So visually I was seeing a “Spirit Level” like the one my husband Jim uses in building. I was the air bubble ever so gently moving from left to right and eventually keeping within those 2 black lines. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keeping level headed, level emotions and level spirited was so good for me!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m curious what do you do to keep you level in times of unexpected overwhelm?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Breaking unhealthy Family Cycles and perhaps keeping some good ones...

I spent the time to watch this whole episode. Mat Mac is a bit of a bloody legend... he talks of how he has kept the values his parents instilled in him of respect, love, commitment and integrity but communicates them in his family unit in a different way.

Some of the women I have worked with in the past year have really broken free from some unhealthy family cycles and have also recognised that a great amount of their resilience and strength has come from growing and using the letting go of these cycles are incredible opportunities.

Looking forward to reading Greenlights by Matthew MacConaughey!!!! Love the clever green light metaphor.....

Welcome to 2021 everyone!!!

I have been hibernating, cocooned in a bubble with my kids and Jim and offline for the past few weeks. It has been an intentional energetic decision that happened without a plan or scheduling. You see I am kinda allergic to micro planning and controlling how and when things should occur.

I’ve always enjoyed the beauty of going with the flow and seeing where the wave will bring me. I love in the same way and parent in the same way too. I am very open to knowing that the perfectly right people come in and flow out of my life without guessing why.

The trust that God/ Mother Nature / the universe/ our ancestors are all collaborating to give me what I need at the most perfect time. This trust in a higher spirit is home to me in the sense of feeling comfortable in how I share my thoughts, emotions and spirit. Being off social media for the past few weeks gifted me essential time in healing some parts of me that my coaching business had overshadowed.

Those are the parts of me include trusting that this new path in my life is not just a business venture but so much more. In being accepting of the wonderful compliments from the women I woke with. Healing women to believe in themselves is indeed my life purpose. Purpose finds you and you cannot hunt it down or dismiss it for something it isn’t. It refuels you’re passion to ignite flames in others. You cannot deny it or reframe it in guise of a business....

I have now wholeheartedly embraced my purpose and feel it filling my soul to the brim.

In 2021 and beyond I will TRUST my intuition and that the women who need my support will be drawn to me without force but because they TRUST in my innate ability to help them shed what they no longer need and joyfully show them their incredible potential.

I have felt both humbled and overwhelmed by the creation of this international group of diversely connected women who I know share a love for knowledge and emotional freedom that is confirmed through your presence here.

Each time I post I visualise all 250 of you standing in a circle intently watching and listening to what I am saying. I am so honoured that your here.

I am planning 2021 in my heart and have some very heartfelt projects in the pipeline including many more Women’s Circles, personal coaching sessions as well as my very own podcast... Alpha Women Rising dedicated each and every one of you.

I look forward to sharing my insights, stories hope and dreams while interviewing a broad spectrum of incredible rising women. Wow what an exciting future lies just around the corner... thank you for sharing this community with me and collectively holding this space for each of us to grow heal and rise.

Finally to those of you who have healed, grown and evoked in 2020 in the fa w of adversities including separation, critical health issues and emotional turmoil I applaud you and am witness to the strength and resurrection that you have personified through the gracefu acceptance and compassion you have displayed. Thank you for being here and sharing your stories and heart with us.
