Join us tonight for an exciting conversation with the award-winning single and advocate Ballina Gee (High Chief Tau'ili'ili).

She is widely known as the Pacific Diva, is a powerhouse at the intersection of lived experience storytelling, cultural performance, and systemic advocacy. With over two decades of cross-sector experience, Ballina is a Digital Impact Producer, safeguarding strategist, and award-winning creative who transforms personal truths into bold campaigns for social and institutional reform.

She grew up in Stanmore and Mount Druitt (yes she is a western sydney girl) and remembers practicing her classical and operatic singing in a housing commission area surrounded by rap and heavy metal music. She remembers playing the keyboard as part of a heavy metal band at Blacktown Girls representing the school at the Sydney Schools Choirs and Spectaculars. She later went to Mountain View High School (back then Doonside Adventist) before really focusing on her classical training at St Marys Senior High School.

Ballina's creative world, Pacific Diva World, reimagines operatic and fine arts traditions through a culturally rich, inclusive lens. A classically trained singer and international performer, she is known for centering Pacific and culturally diverse narratives on global stages. Her performances and roles span opera houses and cultural festivals, earning her dignitary status as the Universal Diplomat of Arts and Culture for the Philippines and the Pacific. What began as a personal journey to reclaim her voice after trauma has become a movement to redefine who gets to take center stage in the performing arts.

She has just launched her new Substack channel to consolidate all her social media content, projects and creative flair giving greater depth to the stories and opinions that she shares behind the scenes and out on camera.

Our guest today Tuesday 29 July 2025, 7pm-8pm is Churlya Wurfel, a powerhouse in fashion, a humanitarian, and a woman of remarkable achievement.

She is the founder of the award-winning Milivine Boutique, a fashion label that has captured hearts across Australia and beyond, boasting 1.3 million followers on TikTok. Born in Indonesia and based in Sydney for the past 53 years, Churlya turned her creative vision into a thriving fashion empire.

Beyond fashion, she has spent 35 years as a volunteer minister, responding to disasters in Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea. She’s also an advocate for youth human rights and drug education.

In recognition of her service, she was knighted in Manila by the Noble Order of Rizal and has received numerous awards from churches and organisations around the world.
