My life completely changed on Christmas Day, 2009. 🎄

After 49 relapses, after countless failed attempts at recovery, on my 50th attempt, something finally clicked. I haven’t come close to picking up a substance since that day.

Today, I celebrate 16 years. Sixteen long years clean, lol, it’s insane! Sixteen years of growth, of struggle, of learning, of becoming the man I was always meant to be.

Back then, I thought I was destined to stay trapped forever. I used to tell people it was just like being a diabetic and I needed my medicine every day.

But here I am, i guess i have proved that recovery is possible. I’ve gone from a shattered mess to building a life filled with love, purpose, and hope. I get to spend my days doing what I love most, helping others find their way, reminding them that change is possible, and that no matter how many times you fall, you can always get back up.

Lets gooo 💪

I cannot express my gratitude enough, to my family, my friends, my community, and every single person who has encouraged and supported me along the way. You’ve all been a part of this journey, and I carry that with me every single day.

I’m just so damn happy today. Big love to you all. ❤️
