In its festival debut, our newest short film IT GETS DARK AT NIGHT (2025) will be screened tomorrow night at the Inner West Film Festival in their Short Film Showcase!

Come along to see this electrifying screening of their 12 finalist short films, alongside the creative results of the 16mm Film Challenge, culminating in the highly anticipated awards presentation.

For International Women's Day, we want to put the spotlight on the many women who have worked on Atomic Darlings projects!

AD was founded with the aim to encourage and embrace female creative involvement in the arts and the creation of complex female characters finding their strength, identity and empowerment.

With that in mind, shout out to Natanyah Forbes, the talented star of Bloody Words (2022) and It Gets Darker at Night (2025) who performed on stage in Death of a People Pleaser (2024) alongside Isabelle Rienits who also killed it as the star of Connected (2023).

Big ups to all the women who worked behind the scenes in Connected: Dasha Alexander, Jesse Whiting, Jacqueline McGowan, Stephanie Marcia and Sienna Valastro-Franco - it wouldn't be what it is without all your hard work.

And finally, happy International Women's Day to Atomic Darlings' founder: Kelly Nicholson! Your creativity, your unstoppable drive and your passion for forging female-led projects is an inspiration to women everywhere (including the woman writing this post) 🙌

Throwback to the St Kilda Film Festival last year where Connected (2024) screened to a Victorian audience! Writer/Director/Co-Producer Kelly Nicholson () along with lead actor Isabelle Rienits () and crew member Stephanie Marcia () took a trip down from Sydney/Wollongong to enjoy what was a fantastic festival.
