It is back, the NRL 2021 season is starting again! May 28th mission Apollo is cleared for liftoff. What the f*ck is mission apollo?
Headed by chairman Wayne Pearce, mission Apollo is the NRL’s internal operating team, showing the public they are “safely managing” all risk involved in Health and Bio-security surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and the upcoming 2021 season.
“The committee agreed to continue to work towards a resumption of training on May 4 and reaffirmed its aim for the competition to recommence on May 28. The protocols are designed to reduce the risk of infection for players, staff, officials and the community.”

Australian Rugby League Chair, Peter V’Landys stated that all internal procedures are directed by health experts with Health and Bio-security protocols being reviewed simultaneously with the release of government documentation.
“Right from the start we said players, staff and officials’ health and safety would be the priority and we would base the rules on the advice of the experts,’’ he said.
“These will be the toughest possible protocols but they need to be to ensure our playing group and staff stay healthy and the game can continue.”

NRL ‘Project Apollo’ member Troy Grant has hit back at Annastacia Palaszczuk after the Queensland Premier demanded a detailed plan from the league on how they will restart the season on May 28.
On Thursday, Palaszczuk fired the latest shot in a war of words with the NRL, stating she was yet to see the NRL’s plans to restart amid the corona-virus crisis.
However the Queensland Premier said she would need to see a detailed outline of the NRL’s plans before a game was played in the state, saying the league had only been working with the NSW government.
“I’m saying to the NRL, send the detailed plan, send all of your health information, send how it’s all going to work. “Put it in a detailed plan and I’m more than happy to forward it to Dr Young. Dr Young has said today she’s more than happy to consider it.”
