A good way to playtest is to play as several different players at once, giving each an agenda, which might be general (agressive, competitive, following, high risk tolerance, low risk tolerance, whimsical, beat the player to my left) or specific to the game (go for score type A, B or C, ignore bonuses, ignore a certain mechanic, maximise bonuses/mechanics etc). In this game the player with the very low score acted randomly which is good news for my game!

Five Years After is a game about everything going to hell. We didn’t mean for the launch to go the same way!

But it did: preorders didn’t work and they still don’t work. We asked you to put your trust in us and many of you tried to do just that, and couldn’t. This was due to mistakes at every level – failure to communicate, tech complications and world tarriff issues changing the systems we’re working in.

If you placed an order with indiverse.io, that has been recorded and your money has not been lost.

If you expressed an intention to order via the Google Form, we still have your details and have reserved your copy.

As soon as we are operational, you will be contacted to let you know your copy has been reserved, or that you may now place a pre-order.

If you would like to cancel your order, or reservation, just let us drop us a line in the comments, by DM or by email.

We can’t go back in time and stop this mistake. We hope you will bear with us and trust that we are going to make this happen in 2026.
