a healthy, soulful, enriching life after adversity with the right support. Despite a rocky start to adult life she miraculously trained and worked in a diverse range of industries - and left a mark in each one. From public relations to filmmaking, residential construction to permaculture design she holds qualifications in many disciplines, including education, somatic therapies, and a Black Belt in Hapkido. After wandering for years - navigating traumas big and small - Alena realised her knack for sensing what people need to reconnect with so they can finally heal what's been holding them back. Since 2009 Alena has been writing researching, and founding supportive online communities in the tens of thousands. In 2020 she began guiding and supporting women with her multidisciplinary programs, and inspiring many with her podcast, Unboxable. Alena is driven to foster interdependence in a disconnected world, so women can unearth their hidden talents, and unleash them in the most impactful way.

JOY is a huge lever.

We know that joy works with your nervous system, and can be a signal of safety and stability for the body.

There are times that life can bring challenges that dim the lights a little. And I know that when you're in those times it is hard to see out of them.

That's when doubling down on small and intentional actions, little and often, can really help to re-establish a baseline of health on all levels.

I'm here to help women (and sometimes men, but most often women) who spend a lot of their time in service of their career, their families, or just building up stability for the future, to reclaim energy, vitality and connection. From that place, so much more joy is possible.

It isn’t that you need to do more, it’s that you need to bring certain innate human qualities to all that you do.

Wha a day! Yesterday I completed my 2nd Degree Black Belt grading in Sydney, at Brookvale. It was a HUGE 6 hour test, multiple weapons, over 300 strikes with a Jukto (bamboo practice sword) and a sword pattern, pole pattern and more…

I was incredibly well supported by my family and my Hapkido family as well. It was unforgettable.

The biggest lesson - community is everything!
The next biggest….. I’m am still grappling with inner perfectionism and even the on a bad day I can do incredible things.

The lead up to the grading was such a roller coaster - losses in our family and people stepping in to carry me through.

Life is so beautiful, even in amongst all the highs and lows.

Thank you to all the people the messaged me and thought of me and held me in their hearts ♥️
