Now for those of you that know me I love cameras and cars, it’s an area I have been trying to get my foot in the door of for sometime now.
Last year when I heard about the classic Landcruiser show hosted by I knew I had to load up the cameras and drive 1000kms to not only be a part of it, but to capture it for the glory that I knew it was!
So when I got there I interviewed some people and made some posts that generated over half a million views online.
But anyone can make cool videos and photos, especially of old classic landcruisers so I approached the team at Mr Landcruiser and worked with them to figure out what they might need to see a more successful show the next year.
Essentially the goal was to get more vendors, more cars entering the competition and more general admission sales the show.
So we made some promotional material together that generated almost 200,000 views and resulted in over 10,000 link clicks generated from a very small ad spend.
But I wanted to take it a step further so I organised a convoy of classic cruisers from all over rural Victoria and NSW to drive all the way up the Queensland for the show, during this time I captured a documentary demonstrating how the show is more than just a one day event.
And what a fantastic time we had! The love for old cars brought us new friends and adventures, through hail storms and blistering sun we slowly chugged all the way up in our hot tin cans with no air conditioning 😂
Over a Terabyte of media was captured, 26 interviews, and over 300 cars entered the show with about 20 from the convoy, 2 of which won some prizes too!
I would like to thank everyone that got amongst it and brought their families along for the adventure! You guys are legends and I can’t wait to do it all again next year!
Mr Landcruiser Thank you for the opportunity and the freedom to create for you! I cannot wait to help you promote this show next year to bring in so many classic cruisers from all over Australia we won’t know what to do with them all!
You are all in for a treat with the media that was created here this past week!
More to come!
