Why is the Albanese government not doing more to strengthen visa screening integration requirements and enforcement when Australians are seeing cases involving visiting offenders fraud and alleged extremist activity?
Britain now spells it out in black and white to asylum seekers: women are equal, s*x requires consent, forced marriage and FGM are crimes, and British law comes first.
Australia should be asking whether our own screening, education and enforcement are tough enough to make those same standards absolutely non negotiable.

While visiting relatives in Melbourne over the weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Ben from Cannoleria, and what a great little find this was.
If you love traditional Italian cannoli, this is the real deal.
Think crispy shells filled with rich, creamy ricotta, made to give you that genuine taste of Sicily.
Cannoleria is in the Dairy Produce Hall, Shops DH 41 and 42, and judging by what I saw, they take their cannoli very seriously.
Ben was terrific to talk to, and it’s always great meeting passionate people who are proud of what they make.

Duncan and the family had a fantastic Saturday breakfast at The Dunes in Ocean Grove. Kate the manager, along with Sonya and Mia, made everyone feel welcome and looked after the whole crew beautifully.
