Natania Orake is of Tongan and Kūkī ‘Āirani descent, specifically Ma'ufanga, Nuku'alofa (Tonga), and the islands of Penrhyn, Manihiki, and Mangaia (Kuki ‘Āīrani). She is a singer and lead radio broadcaster. She has done work with multiple charities/organisations such as Ready2Change, PCYC, and Blacktown City Council. Orake is in her final year of high school and is completing her HSC.

“I was drawn to this project because I find purpose in serving my Pasifika community. I have seen so little recognition of the fruition of our work and after connecting with Gabe, I realised that this was the perfect opportunity to shed some light on the experiences of our people even if I had little input.”

Tuesday Finds 💎
Thankyou Satiu Studios for sharing and finding amazing talent. We hope to have Gari in the studio sometime soon for you all. 😉

Gari Guru is a music artist and songwriter who hails from Papua New Guinea (Tubusereia) central province. He played the supporting lead role of Edea in Sydney Fringe’s ‘Where I’m From’, a young Papua New Guinean from Motu who suffers from anxiety and communicates through singsong and guitar.

Gari’s music is available on Spotify and most music platforms. For ‘The Western Line’ event, he will be performing 2 new acoustic songs.

Gari says, “Writing started as a form of expression, just so I could communicate feelings that I struggled to deal with and get out.”

The Western Line is one part of a trilogy series. This event is part of National Theatre of Parramatta’s True West initiative on Tuesday 19th of November. Ticketing information in the link in bio.
