It was incredible to witness the migration of the Pygmy Blue Whale. Each year hundreds of these whales pass through Timor Leste’s waters on an epic journey from the Banda Sea to southern Australia. In awe of these gigantic, beautiful animals! What a world! Taken on Whale Expedition 🐋

The dance between a mum and her calf. This by far was the most confident calf and calm mum I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the sea with 💙🐋

The last photo felt like the most perfect moment of my life.
This playful baby took pass after pass around me, rolling towards me. Mom and es**rt were chilled , allowing baby to approach while@observing from a distance. Then the three of them formed a triangle in the blue.

Nothing takes your breath away quite like the way a full breach from a humpback whale does. It’s a sight I’ve been treated to many times over the years, but the excitement will never fade for me. The chances are low that you’ll see a breach like this on your first, second, or even twentieth whale watch… but it’s worth every second of patience and effort, I promise.

Still can’t believe it three days later and I’m still in shock. I managed to spot and capture Siale, the rare white albino humpback whale! Last seen in Tonga last year, and now making her way up the northern coast of Australia. Only a 2 or 3 of these incredible whales have ever been sighted in the world and somehow, I was lucky enough to witness one. Feels like a dream I haven’t woken up from.
