A growth mindset can literally save you money.
When a piece of equipment broke at the business before a long weekend, I had two choices: accept that it was broken and pay someone around $2,000 to fix it… or start learning.
So I researched it, understood how it worked, got my hands dirty and fixed it myself.
But the real saving wasn’t just the $2,000 repair bill.
If I couldn’t get it running, the shop may have had to close over the long weekend — and the lost revenue would have been far more expensive.
That’s what a growth mindset means to me.
Not believing you already know everything.
Believing you can learn what you need to know when the situation demands it.
Sometimes the most profitable skill in business is simply being willing to figure it out.
