SOUTHERN TINUBU ENDORSEMENT RALLY MOVES TO JANUARY 29TH!

The Director General of the Forward with Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group, Peter Ilefa, regrets to announce the postponement of the Southern Endorsement Rally earlier scheduled for November 27th, 2025 at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar.

This adjustment becomes necessary as a mark of solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following recent national events affecting the state of the nation and threatening national security.

A new date has now been confirmed:

BREAKING NEWS: Miss Politics Nigeria Suspends All Activities till Further Notice…

The CEO of Miss Politics Nigeria, Ronel Manuel Bassey (Mc RMB), has officially dissolved the current pageant team following reports of misconduct, intimidation, threats, and attempted hijacking of the brand.

All pageant activities are suspended until further notice.

The management warns that any crowned Queen seen attending events, political functions, or courtesy visits with any former team member without CEO approval will face immediate dethronement.

Former team members who continue to parade themselves as officials will be arrested and prosecuted under Criminal Code Sections 117–118.

JUST IN: Cross River Govt Partners with NITDA to Boost Tech Development 💻🚀

The Cross River State Government is strengthening ties with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to advance technology and innovation in the state.

DG of CRSMEDA, Great Ogban, visited NITDA to discuss deeper collaboration, highlighting major achievements such as the CRS-ICT Hub for tech entrepreneurs and the CIVTECH Program for civil servant ICT training.

Ogban noted the Governor’s commitment to restoring Cross River as a leading tech hub after setbacks at the Tinapa innovation centers.

NITDA DG, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, welcomed the partnership and reaffirmed NITDA’s readiness to work with CRSMEDA to expand access to digital technology across the state.

BREAKING NEWS : UK rejects Nigerian request to deport former politican jailed for organ trafficking

The UK government has rejected a request by Nigeria to deport a former senior Nigerian politician convicted of organ trafficking.

Ike Ekweremadu, 63, a former deputy president of the Nigerian senate and ally of the former president Goodluck Jonathan, is serving a sentence of nine years and eight months after being found guilty in 2023 of conspiring to exploit a man for his kidney.

Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice, and a co-conspirator, Dr Obinna Obeta, trafficked a young man to London with a view to harvesting his kidney, which they planned to transplant to Ekweremadu’s daughter Sonia in a private unit of an NHS hospital.

It was the first conviction for organ trafficking under the Modern Slavery Act.

Last week, a Nigerian government delegation, led by the foreign minister, Yusuf Tuggar, met officials at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to discuss Ekweremadu’s case. The delegation requested his deportation so he could serve his remaining sentence in Nigeria.

A source at the MoJ has confirmed the request was rejected. It is understood the UK government was concerned that Nigeria could offer no guarantees that Ekweremadu would continue his prison sentence after being deported.
