DRAMA IN 2024? Didn’t think it would be me. But here we go. Most of you are probably very unaware of what’s happening in a certain online Facebook group where I’ve been called a bully etc - so let’s clear this up.
When I was at the peak of streaming here on Facebook, a particular member of the chat would enter the stream, drop a “___ raid”, and immediately move on - providing little-to-no conversation between. (If you’re unaware, a raid is usually a streamer supporting another streamer, but in this case it was just a singular person). I found this deeply frustrating - streamers work incredibly hard to build community, with money, time, their art - and for somebody to demand attention by using the “raid” concept - to me, was cringe and frustrating. From there - I gave it less and less attention, trying my hardest to get this person to move on, to go somewhere else to get the attention they so desperately needed.
This is when the loving, caring members of my community starting getting attacked - in the chat with a fake account, in our Discord, and me and my mods did our best to keep it all behind the scenes, knowing exactly who it was (low and behold, best friends with this person). Naturally, I distanced myself from all of those people, to try to keep the space positive, warm and inviting for people who offered a welcoming space in the chat.
Now - cut to THREE years later - I do a stream where I’m playing cult of the lamb, I’m talking about a rat and COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE RAT, decide to mention the “___ raid”. This person was sent the three second moment of that stream (by the very same friends who I assume are equally obsessed with trying to take me down, the ones I mentioned earlier about the bullying and fake account nonsense) - and they run with it. Immediately pull themself into the victim mentality.
Cut to - last week, almost 4 years after the entire debacle - I see a post stating “I was bullied by an LGBT streamer from Australia”. Naturally, this is going to frustrate me - I’ve tried over and over again to move on, to get this person away from me - so I made a post on this page, providing context and nuance - and what do you know? It’s deleted.
And so, four days ago on Twitch I expressed my frustration toward this person - it’s my stream, I was/am upset. They will not leave it in the past, so of course, naturally I’m going to express this frustration.
Since, I’ve seen small snippets of this stream, once again, posted with no context - calling me a bully etc.
Long story short, the rat thing wasn’t even RELATED to this person, but because they decided to cling onto it with their victim mentality, I’ve decided to just run with it too.
Move on. Get over it. Grow up.
