“Daddy, as well as these 2 gifts (and 2 most adorable cards 🥹) would you like to walk up to the record store and choose something for Father’s Day?”
Awhhhh 😇
She knows me all too well huh
As per usual when you’re out for a dig, I came home with more than just the 1! Thanks Rhubarb & Naomi!
Paul Simon - Graceland (New)
This contains 3 tunes that I’m sure if I went through my digital history that I would play 1 of these 3 on a weekly bases..
Boy In The Bubble, Diamonds On The Souls Of Her Shoes & That Was Your Mother (I do play a very tasty edit of this one though)
Kool & The Gang - Celebrate Album
This is going to come in handy for Birthdays & Weddings I’m sure.
Womack & Womack - Teardrop 12”
Yep, it’s got the 7+ min version. Ohhhh Baby 🤤
Pseudo Echo - Funky Town 12”
Do you need 6:35 mins of this?? I’m sure we’ll find out over the years..
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Power Of Love 12”
Just because..
Robert Palmer - Simply Irresistible 12”
You never know 🤷♂️
Black Uhuru - What is Life 12”
This rang a bell for some reason. Looking forward to popping it on the platter and finding out if it’s the time I’m thinking of..
Katrina & The Waves - Walking On Sunshine 7”
I drop this quite often after Valerie because they compliment each other soooo well and always brings big cheers & the odd squeal. Now just to find the 10” of Mark Ronson & Amy’s Valerie… 😬
She’s not cheap but it’s out there!
De La Soul - Say No Go 7”
I purchased this myself as it definitely wasn’t cheap.
An absolute gem and great to add to the 7’s collection as well as already having a couple of big round copies.
What a day! Such a treat to do this with Rue. She doesn’t understand it all yet but one day they’ll all be hers..
Thanks Naomi for such an awesome day, the gifts and even tennis 🎾
A big shout to the dude, Josh Crosstalk Records in Leichhardt.
The coolest shop in town no doubt for me and one of the great record stores in Sydney. Check it out and see for yourself - I guarantee you’ll find something you weren’t expecting!
And that is one of the many joys of digging through the crates.
✌🏼
