Karl and Jane Faase attended the Responding to the Rebirth Conference in London today. Apart from a friendly heckle (in response to a cricket reference😂), the Encounter series was so well received and lots of interest shown. We hope and pray that many churches across the UK will be blessed by this resource.

Today is Remembrance Day. According to Mark McCrindle (in Faith Runs Deep), Remembrance Day is the second most important day on the Australian calendar, after ANZAC Day.

"Coupland has written several books, one of which is called "Life after God". He finishes this book with a very interesting quote. He says he has a secret he wants to share. He leads you to a quiet place in the forest before he shares his secret.

Then he writes: "My secret is...I need God, that I am sick and can no longer make it alone. I need God to help me give, because I no longer seem capable of giving, to help me be kind as I no longer seem capable of kindness; to help me love, as I am beyond being able to love."

A remarkably honest and insightful quote from someone who does not claim to be a Christian. It's a sentiment that I believe most of us feel at times in our lives. Can I encourage you to do something about this for yourself? Turn to God to experience love, healing and grace, and pray for the capacity to share that with others."
