Silvia totally nailed it! Basically a 1 take wonder on all her different scripts (meanwhile, our own content takes about 5 re-recording attempts... a disconnected mic... forgotten scripting...*sigh* - you feel me...).

It's been almost 1 month since AHPRA's new Guidelines for advertising higher risk non-surgical cosmetic procedures came into effect.
Are you a health practitioner navigating the challenges around advertising online? Or an agency with clients in this space? If so, have you taken the time to familiarise yourself with the new guidance (which is in addition to APHRA's existing guidelines around advertising a regulated health service)?

The new guidance applies to advertising of higher risk non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This is essentially any non-surgical procedure to 'revise or change the appearance, colour, texture, structure or position of bodily features with the dominant purpose of achieving what the patient perceives to be a more desirable appearance'.

Examples include but are not limited to dental veneers, cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers, injection lipolysis, thread lifts, sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy, procedures involving platelet rich plasma, biotherapy or injections of any products derived from the patient’s blood and hair transplants.

On our screen lately...

Over the last fortnight, we've been launching new Ad Campaigns for our client, The Lizard Centre, across both Meta and Google.

The Lizard Centre are a national NDIS provider, who provide evidence based behavioural therapy treatment for kids with autism.
They already have a presence in most capital cities, but they're shortly launching in Newcastle and are now taking enrolments!

Our multi-channel marketing campaigns are designed to help them get the word out about their expansion (and to fill up the diaries of their incredibly talented behavioural therapists in the Newcastle region).

Proud to support them in their marketing efforts - they do incredible work and are led by a wonderful, compassionate and dedicated team.

10 months of heading up Aquila Creative.

While I acknowledge the journey so far has been 100x easier with the backing of my business (and life) partner and our parent agency (which has had 15 years of learning, growing, making mistakes and building teams and processes that we get to benefit from)... the journey so far hasn't been without its ups and downs.

Stepping out of corporate and into entrepreneurship and business development requires you to eat a whole lot of humble pie. πŸ˜…

While some days or weeks are tough... I'm just here, for a moment, to celebrate the wins. Because, as individuals and business owners, we need to be better at acknowledging the good... (a shoutout to a friend, Jac, for encouraging me to write down the wins and good stuff - so I can always turn to it when needed).

So - just a quick note to the universe (and all those following our journey).

πŸ’› I'm feeling f*cking fabulous - and rocking jeans today that didnt fit 3 months ago
πŸ’› We're loving our team.

Loved that we could loan cameras from different brands to take them for a proper test drive!
