10 months of heading up Aquila Creative.

While I acknowledge the journey so far has been 100x easier with the backing of my business (and life) partner and our parent agency (which has had 15 years of learning, growing, making mistakes and building teams and processes that we get to benefit from)... the journey so far hasn't been without its ups and downs.

Stepping out of corporate and into entrepreneurship and business development requires you to eat a whole lot of humble pie. 😅

While some days or weeks are tough... I'm just here, for a moment, to celebrate the wins. Because, as individuals and business owners, we need to be better at acknowledging the good... (a shoutout to a friend, Jac, for encouraging me to write down the wins and good stuff - so I can always turn to it when needed).

So - just a quick note to the universe (and all those following our journey).
💛 We're kicking butt.
💛 I'm feeling f*cking fabulous - and rocking jeans today that didnt fit 3 months ago
💛 We're loving our team.
💛 We're growing.
💛 We're busting our butts... and working late... but our problems are great problems to have.
💛 I'm loving life... our office... working alongside my hubby & wonderful partner.
💛 We've built (and are building) wonderful relationships with our partners - and we're so grateful to all those who support us, look out for us and who work with us (you know who you are - thank you).

Obsessed with this talented, beautiful, model.

Loved that we could loan cameras from different brands to take them for a proper test drive!

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has issued new guidance impacting how non-surgical cosmetic procedures can be advertised on social media.
They come into effect on 2 September 2025.

Similar guidance has already been in place for medical practitioners, but now all practitioners who offer these kinds of cosmetic procedures will be held to the same standard.

It is important for impacted businesses to revisit their socials - address or remove existing non compliant social media posts (including historically) and educate yourself on how you can best promote your business in line with new advertising guidance.
