We had a lovely day at the Bankstown Arts Centre Open Day on 16/Jul/11. Wareabouts puppeteers Lauren and Andy were there featuring puppets made by young artists from the HERO project.

Today we were at the Casula for Kids Festival running a kids activity/craft workshop on Cardboard Creatures! We had so much fun we forgot to take pictures. Will be back there again this Friday. All booked up, but make sure to head along to the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre for lots of shows and activities, including a Tea Party presented by Powerhouse Youth Theatre (PYT)

Great HERO project puppetry showing on Wednesday evening -- well done all puppet-makers! The Spray Art team created an awesome wall piece on Tuesday at the Street Uni; and tonight it will be a demo from the Parkour Team (led by 9Lives ) at the Powerhouse Youth Theatre (PYT). Go and support their progress!

We like to play in the streets, so we like this show at the Blacktown Arts Centre featuring a cardboard miniature city of Manila, with landmark buildings and streets with names!

Last school term, we brought our new puppets to schools around Bankstown, as part of the massive HERO project. Come along and join the team at Bankstown Arts Centre this term, every Wednesday 4pm-6pm, to design and build new puppets for the project.

HERO Project is a massive performance project using 3 different art forms - Parkour, Giant Puppetry and Spray Art. Be a part of this great performance spectacle and bring out your inner Hero!

We took two of our newest puppets to the Bring It On! Youth Festival this year to promote "Hero Project" (led by PYT, along with Wareabouts, 9Lives, Street Uni, and BYDS).

Puppet performers Andy and Lauren danced alongside the PYT stall and the Hip Hop stage, with additional puppeteers Danielle, Kate, and Shawin. Thanks to Kimberley for the footage.
