We are so proud to be nominated for three awards in the inaugural SONARR awards in the STEM, Knowledge and Learning and Community Wavemaker categories!

We’re in great company amongst so many beautiful audio projects - congrats to all the nominees, and to all the many people whose stories and advocacy feature in SOIL: Rewilding the Underground without whom this series wouldn’t exist ✨

SONARR Awards

To celebrate World Environment Day we’re giving away one of our SOIL artworks, illustrated by our friend and printed by ✨

To go in the draw help us tell the story of soil by sharing any one of our posts on your story - and make sure you tag us! The winner will be drawn at random on Monday.

SOIL (the artwork) is inspired by an aerial photo of the Rabbit Proof Fence in Western Australia taken during a climate experiment in the 80s. Scientists noticed that on the agricultural side of the fence the soil was degraded and the climate, clouds and rainfall were all different to the side of the fence with native vegetation.

To us this photo represents the inspiring stories of farmers and land managers bringing degraded dirt back to life through regenerative agriculture and other soil restoration practices 🪱🍄🌱

Bread. How did something so basic, so fundamental, get so complicated – and even start making us ill?

This is the question that underpins ‘Cereal’, an investigative series from our friends at Farmerama Radio that uncovers the polarised world of bread, and its connection to seeds, soil, our health and food systems.

We’re excited to share the first episode - ‘Flour, Water, Salt’ - in SOIL’s podcast feed this week, partly because it offers a deeper dive into the story of soil, but also to celebrate the launch of ‘Cereal Revisited’, a podcast, impact report and sound map documenting the real-world changes this podcast series has inspired six years on.

Head to for more.

SOIL: Rewilding the Underground is now on the .table Regenerative Food and Farming Map!

This is the first tool of its kind in Australia to capture the full diversity of regenerative food and farming and present it in one place, turning isolated efforts into a clear and connected picture of change.

We’re so proud to be part of this amazing network, and have our storytelling work - and the contributions of our many podcast voices - recognised.

Check it out via the link in our bio to discover amazing local food and farming change makers near you!
