King Cray 🦞 🐟

Perfect way to finish off a nice dive with a big fat just legal lobster and a tasty kingfish to match. This is what it is really about! Im still very much learning the areas around here but so far so good! The vis wasn’t fantastic green and hazy but glad i could slip in before the viz turns brown again.

I felt as if i was being watched on the dive which wasnt super comforting but i have just seen on the Dorsal app that a great white pinged its location close by just 18minutes ago. Thankfully I’ve been out of the water a while now. But I am absolutely convinced we can sense sharks somehow.

Anyways this ground is fun to dive and renowned for Great Whites so i would only recommend diving if the conditions are favourable.

Cray Mission Down South 🦞

What a weekend! I hope everyone managed to take advantage of the sun, low winds and cleaner waters. Plenty of bugs around and good thing as we forgot to bring our spearguns on the trip.

That didnt stop us getting in the water and securing a mix of Eastern Rock Lobster and a Slipper lobster. Congrats to Mon and Victor for their crays in NSW!

A bit of exploring worn out tracks and some secret spots. Love it!

Exploring Queensland with the Seadoo Explorer Pro

Exploring some stunning national parks in Queensland is the ideal way to spend the day when the weather isnt up to it on the ocean.

The best thing about Queensland winter is having the kickass solar panels soak up that sun and keep the fridge and freezer running whilst they are getting filled with Coral Trout, Spanish Mackerel and Tuskies.

I’ll do another update on the slowest car build known to man shortly. Ive had it all happen, wrong parts, missing items, deliveries gone walk abouts but we are slowly slowly slowly getting there.

I definitely am going to look at getting a dual axel jetski trailer for future trips. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know 🤙🏼

Chasing Vis and Fish in Queensland on the Seadoo Explorer Pro 🐟

It was a ton of fun island hopping on the jetski searching completely new ground and still managed to land some nice fish. But as always just as i started to find the best ground it was time to leave. Not before taking a lovely Graphic Tuskfish which was a first for me.

Spanish Mackerel were off the cards at this point but there were plenty around. Cant wait to get back up here and explore some reef i had sounded up at 28m which i know will be a good spot if clean.

Finally stoked to have the dream jetski set up for spearfishing after 1.5years of trial and error we got there. Now i will finally make the walkthrough video of my Explorer Pro 🤙🏼

Island Camping and Spearfishing for 2 days

Here are some still shots of the epic 2 days diving we had camping and spearfishing from the making sure we get some nice fish on the spears but theres a redemption due!

Absolutely wicked conditions from visibility to fish to sharks to whales this trip had it all. Cant believe once you understand an area how much paying attention to the current charts makes a difference for fish life.

Spearfishing Nannygai in Queensland

I managed to smack some absolutely delicious fish this trip with a number of Personal Bests and firsts. The drive and the jet ski sends were absolutely worth it and i cant wait to share with everyone the experience.

But this fish is my first ever Large Mouth Nannygai and im very grateful to .adventures for putting them on the target list for the last day of diving in Queensland and being an awesome dive buddy to get onto these fish. These guys sit deep and we were diving to 34m chasing these fish. To see my first proper one and get the shot into him was the most stoke ive felt spearfishing in years. First Dive Spearfishing QLD

I cannot express how epic the first dive of the trip was. 30m vis, a solid ride out on the ski but more than worth it. We had been waiting for conditions like this to come up and here they are. Youll have to wait for the full video but check these snaps.

Spanish Mackerel, Golden Trevally, Cobia, Manta Rays, Sea Snakes, Bullsharks, Silvertip Reef Shark, Black Tip Reef Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Tawny Nurse Sharks, Emperor, YellowSpot Trevally, Jobfish and tons more!

Blackspot Tuskfish

It wouldnt be a trip to Queensland with smacking a tasty Tusky, these fish go 10/10 for me they are sensational eating and im stoked to have landed one. The NEW AIMRITE X WETMAMMAL ROLLER gets it done! I seriously hope i got this on film such a fast paced hunt and shot 💦🐟

Check the colours on this fish too i cant wait to cook this guy up! Ive got to say heading out spearfishing on the Explorer Pro is a ton of fun island hopping. I definitely need more of this in my life.

Also frothin the Anchorman Dive Flag for the ski. It works a treat keeping us nice and visible to other boaties when we are in the water.

We did it! The prize of the whole trip to Victoria was to spear a Bluefin Tuna and after a rollercoaster of emotions we got it done! Even managed to bag a couple of snapper too!

From Tuna Chasing to Scallop Feasting – Our Wildest Day Yet in Melbourne! 🐟🍝

We set out on the Nauti Gal chasing Southern Bluefin Tuna off the coast of Melbourne, but disaster struck early... Our esky and spearguns snapped clean off the back of the jetski and vanished into the deep.

Instead of calling it a day, we flipped the script. We jumped in to explore the local reef and were stoked to find some Weedy Seadragons—one of Victoria’s most iconic and rare marine creatures. Then it was onto scallop diving and a fresh catch-and-cook pasta session that absolutely hit the spot.

This episode is a reminder: sometimes the best adventures happen when things go wrong. 💥🐉🌊

Birthday Dive! WHAT A DAY!

Soo stoked to actually get a quick run out for my birthday and what were we greeted with? 100+ Dolphins jumping all around us and playing in our wake and on the bow of the ski!

Could it get any better? Yep hop in the water and on my 3rd drift of the day a wahoo comes in to sight! My lucky day his unlucky day! Mon got unlucky with her Hoo but we will be chasing these fish again in about a weeks time!

Fantastic conditions for an autumn dive just before the big winds came and stirred it all up. Also seriously rating that poke bowl.

And i dont know if its just this wahoo but holy is it such a clean eating fish! 🐟

First spearfishing Victoria trip comes this Sunday too!! Sorry for the delay moving house was a bigger job than i thought 😅
