Sad day when the punk community looses a dear friend. Henk Smit loved Aussie hardcore punk. From the other side of the world in his heady city of Amsterdam he ran KANGAROO RECORDS and put out releases for TOE TO TOE, AVO, WORLD WAR 24, ROCKS, BLITZ BAIBEZ and my own s**tty band THE BLURTERS. For the last 25 years we’ve traded records and talked s**t.

The last time I was in Amsterdam he got me so pi**ed that I woke up at 10am in a tree in the main part of Amsterdam city. My wallet, phone and smokes laid untouched on the footpath as people went by doing their daily stuff just looking at me.

I can’t say I remeber that night but I’ll never forget the hangover!

Amazing night in Sydney last night. Thanks to all the awesome bands that came out and all played ripper sets. Everyone brought their A game and killed it. Thanks to all the enthusiastic peeps that came out and danced for all the bands, without your support shows like this can’t happen, thank you dearly. It was great to see so many old faces and stacks of new ones. Was good vibes all night! Huge thanks to Dave from VINNIES TOURING for making our dreams a reality..cheers brother! Last but not least a massive thanks to the most charismatic, cheeky, hilarious frontman the world has ever seen . JIMMY GESTAPO and MURPHY’S LAW rule !We haven’t laughed as hard at a show like that in years. Thanks lads! It’s your turn next weekend Queensland. Grab your tickets
