Blunt Presents

Blunt Presents The origins of BLUNT go back to the fanzine world of the mid 80s in Sydney, Australia. the muse is still there ..

We now operate fully online, still for fun, writing, reviewing, and sometimes promoting via live shows. decided on a spontaneous whim to start this page up - always good to write stuff and even after nearly half a century I find myself at times with ideas that need to be vented, written down, shouted out- bands to be shared, told about, reviewed, things that catch your eye be it here or at home..

also feel free to share stuff - always keen for that - after all it's about the community.. and by the way this is not affiliated in any way with Blunt Magazine which surfaced around the time the Blunt book came out - just so there is no market confusion etc not that I can see it happening - rock on and enjoy- big thanks to Scott Wajon and Michael Orehek for page graphics btw which come from the book which I have been told is sold out

Neil’s great editing and production skills are highly evident on Simon Strong’s book ‘Bastardizer’ released by Polyester Records.

Sad news - long time friend Neil Johnson and drummer of many a fine band (ie Even As We Speak and Craven Fops) has passed away after a tough battle with cancer.

Much love to Neil’s family and friends. Though he had relocated to northern NSW a few decades back, we kept in touch having last caught up in 2017 at the Newtown Social Club.

Well and truly loved, he was that person with a real presence - someone who just made everything ok and good. RIP Neil x
