You know when you were a kid and you used to make a treasure map by drawing an intricate patttern on a piece of paper, then rubbing lemon juice on it, and holding it over a candle to burn the edges, so that the paper turns brown and old looking? Well, this is what Europaweite Aussichten does with his sound effects -- the backgrounds to his songs are full of witches cackles, screams and wolf howls -- made to sound like old, brittle paper, crackling with electricity, blown along suburban asphalt like autumn leaves 🍁

If there is anything you want to hear or see more on The Halloween Listening Party on FOTW Radio this Spooky Season, please let me know. I try and make it as much as possible for the listeners - and all the song requests and tracks sent in from indie Halloween musicians is what makes it worthwhile. My goal is to make it more and more transparent as a radio station, so people can see the inner workings of it a little bit - and that it doesn't seem just like an automated playlist (although I do have a 👻 co-broadcaster who helps me, when I'm not around, and who is sometimes a much better DJ than me!) I also have a Youtube page now, where I will also put up videos related to the radio streams and broadcasts, and that's my way of expanding the radio stream out a little bit to capture a few visual elements.
