Could this work in Australia?

What do you think โ€” would this work in Australia?

๐ˆ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ ๐š ๐›๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž โ€” a permanent basic income of โ‚ฌ325 ( $570 AU) a week for 2,200 musicians and artists starting in 2026.

Some people will scoff โ€” โ€œget a real job.โ€
Others will cheer โ€” โ€œfinally, support for the people who make life worth living.โ€

Whichever side youโ€™re on, one thingโ€™s undeniable: this gives artists the freedom to actually focus on their craft instead of basic survival.

New music gets made. Creativity thrives. Everyone wins.
