Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, who are married, cared for young actress Mara Wilson when her mother was severely unwell in hospital.

In March of 1995, while filming the soon-to-be blockbuster hit Matilda, Mara’s mother Suzie received the news that she had breast cancer.

Throughout filming and beyond, DeVito and Perlman were extremely supportive to the Wilson family offering to watch the 9-year-old whenever the family needed. 🥰

A year later, Mara’s mother’s condition grew worse and she sadly passed away in 1996.

Mara was devastated that her mom didn’t get to see the finished production of Matilda – or so she thought.

Years later, Danny DeVito - who directed the movie- revealed to Mara that he had actually visited Suzie in hospital and allowed her to watch the nearly-finished version of the film. 👏❤️

The roles were played by David C. Montgomery as the Tin Man and Fred Stone as the Scarecrow.

After filming 80% of 'Back to the Future' director Robert Zemeckis felt that Eric Stoltz performance as Marty Mcfly was 'too serious', so he re-cast Michael J. Fox to fill his shoes.

While Stoltz was a talented and successful actor at the time, the Zemeckis and wo-writer Bob Gale had envisioned Marty to have more of a comedic jest about him.

They went back and re-filmed the movie, which if you think about it has quite a nice ode to the actual essence of the movie itself.

Ok fine, I'll go watch all three movies again!!
