I trekked down to Pokolbin after The Country Mile yesterday to see Australian rock royalty perform on the same bill. The radio guy was well and truly signed off and the fan, the 10yo me who played the cassette tapes to breaking point of Jimmy Barnes and ICEHOUSE was in his element. I had waited for this occasion my entire life and it did not disappoint. Ian Moss set the tone shredding his guitar and singing his greatest hits and some Cold Chisel classics. Icehouse we’re on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥and great to see Michael Paynter back with the band. A huge storm ripped through just before Barnesy was due on stage (Barnestorming anyone????? 😜 😜) but once it kind of cleared, he was on 110% with the entire “For The Working Class Man” album then a number of greatest hits from his 40 year solo catalogue.
