Presented by Hamish MacKenzie.

21/12/2025

For the last episode of Lost and Found Sounds for 2025 we'll hear tracks from 'Last Recordings' - the final recorded sonic experimentation by the late iconoclastic creative Ollie Olsen, in collaboration with Andrew Duffield and Bill McDonald, before his unfair death last year.

We'll also hear from Gudinni Cortina's brand new release on presses précaires, 'Una geografía del color'', and from recent releases by Eva-Maria Houben with her album 'portative air' on Sirr-ecords, Thomas Bey William Bailey from his 'Solos Vol. 6 (Organisms)' self-released album, and Hello Spiral with 'Staunch Advocate of Doing Nothing' on Kirigirisu Recordings.

There's also works by Australian-expat Sophea Lerner - 'Wiretongue: an incantation for artificial voice', originally made for The Listening Room, evoked response - '20150228' on Obsolete Recordings, The James Worse Public Address Method from the self-released album 'hemisphones', and Chris Abrahams from 'Thrown' on Room40.

This week's episode of Lost and Found Sounds has works a bunch of brand new and recent works from Heavy Cloud - 'Here Is Where It Hurts' released through Difficult Art And Music, Modelbau - 'Mook' through re-interupt, Nullpart, and Übersprech - both side projects for Siegmar Fricke, and there are no birds here - 'horror vacui'.

There's also Euro Herc - '1001 hektopaskali', and a collaborative work by Jeph Jerman and Ted Byrnes - 'Muir' both just out through Tsss Tapes, and there'll be tracks from the just-out first volume in a series of box-sets planned for release by Fossil Aerosol Mining Project, realising tracks previously only available in digital form or on rare CDrs, or tracks never-before released - the later of which a few will be heard. The box set is the massive 12-disk 'Deadstock I: Reanimation And Other Early Topics' and we'll hear tracks from the first three albums in the volume - 'Cassette Recordings 1983-1995', 'Environmental Adjustments, March 1997', and 'Rusted Articles 1874 From 1968'

Plus we'll hear oldies but goodies by My Name Is Mannering ('Antiques Is My Game'), and the first in the now four-releases-old Kindling Editions series of text/image/audio exploratory publications curated by Eamon Sprod. It's by Taku Unami and Eric La Casa ('Parazoan Mapping #2').

Theres a host of goods for your listening pleasure on Lost and Found Sounds this week, coming from a soon to be released CD on Unfathomless by David Velez titled 'Loss', a gorgeously cathartic experience seeking relief over the grief of dealing with his father's death, and Christopher McFall with "I Throw The Switch On The Midnight Snake" and Brandon Auger with 'Terminal Runner' both also on unfathomless.

here's Mark Fell with 'Ten Types of Elsewhere' on LINE, CHEFKIRK and Carl Kruger from their release 'Node Rinse' on Falt, and an awesome collaborative work by Emmanuel Gasparinatos and Rik Rue just made available digitally, decades after its release on Pedestrian Tapes.

Plus interspersed through the show will be tracks from 'Suites #1-9' by St Celfer.
