A Thai Airways takeoff under a torrential downpour, the first Air France aircraft I’ve seen in ages (the first in Manila), and a glimpse through the Cathay Pacific cockpit windows (the main question people ask when they see a telephoto when plane spotting).
That was Manila planespotting on 30/10/2025.

Was it worth waiting for it after it had to circle around before landing?

So, Qantas in Manila comes at really inconvenient hours for plane spotters , either very early in the morning or late at night.
I was about to leave because it was getting dark and starting to rain.

When I saw that AirAsia Airbus being towed onto the main runway, I knew the whole traffic flow was going to be disrupted. I had no idea how long it would take. It was getting late, the rain was picking up, and with the thought of traffic on the way back , plus the laziness of shooting above ISO 20,000, impatience was starting to kick in.

Just as I began to pack up, China Eastern suddenly showed up, and then, two or three minutes later, it followed! I barely had time to get the gear ready and shoot.

But honestly, it was totally worth the wait, especially with that “Pride” livery.

Two aviation giants in one frame, marking their final flights of the year! ✈️ On December 31st, 2024, Brisbane Airport witnessed a spectacular send-off as an American Airlines Boeing 787-9 and a Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 soared into the skies. The A350 made its way to Changi, while the destination of the American Airlines jet was flying to Dallas.
A fitting tribute to Queensland Planespotters on hand to capture the last flights of the 2024! 🚀✈️
