The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is Australia's longest running floral event held in the last full week in September each year, The Carnival attracts visitors in the tens of thousands to experience the magnificent floral displays in parks across the city, and the home gardens in the annual Garden Competition. The first weekend of Carnival week features the Carnival of Flowers Parade, and an abund

ance of food, wine, floral displays and entertainment with a variety of activities continuing through the week and the following weekend highlighting fresh produce and horticultural excellence from across the region. Community spirit is the driving force of the Carnival with over five hundred volunteers coordinating a multitude of events to entertain the thousands of visitors.

Brand new this year β€” detailed accessibility profiles for our key events and parks are now live on our website. Head to the pages for Queens Park Botanic Gardens, Laurel Bank Park, FEASTival, Paw Parade and the Grand Central Floral Parade to find everything you need to know from ground surfaces and gradients to toilet access and parking β€” so you can plan your perfect day before you even leave home.

Both Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park feature hard surface pathways throughout and accessible parking nearby, making them easy to navigate whatever your mobility needs.

🌻 Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program
We're proud members of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program. Our staff and volunteers are trained to recognise a sunflower lanyard and provide discreet, compassionate support whenever it's needed. You're always welcome here.

🎢 Quiet hour
Every Monday to Thursday during Carnival, all live and recorded music pauses in Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park from 10am–11am to create a calm and peaceful time to explore the gardens at your own pace. Wonderful for those with sensory challenges, or just prefer a quiet environment.

πŸŽ‰ Accessible viewing at the parade
Guests with mobility aids can access a dedicated accessible viewing zone on Ruthven St at our Grand Central Floral Parade. Descriptive audio commentary is also available at Godsall St ovals for guests who prefer an audio experience. Can't make it in person? We livestream the whole parade on our page.
