Throughout the years: Seaview Hotel

The Seaview Hotel in Townsville was originally built in 1889 by Rooney & Co. as an elaborate timber structure on The Strand. After being destroyed by fire in 1928, it was rebuilt in masonry in 1929, designed by Joe Rooney. The current building is one of the few remaining early 20th-century masonry hotels in North Queensland. During World War II, it served as an Australian Officers’ Mess. The hotel has since undergone multiple renovations, including a major one completed in 2021.

Throughout the years: Buchanan's Hotel

Buchanan's Hotel was a prominent, ornate, and historic hotel in Townsville, built in 1903 by David Buchanan to replace his previous hotel that burned down. It was known for its elaborate cast-iron lacework, high-class amenities like gas lighting and electric bells, and for hosting famous guests such as Donald Bradman and Lyndon B. Johnson. The building was destroyed by a fire on August 9, 1982.

We specialise in Two main areas of Expertise

Bringing Old Media back to Life

Vhs tapes, Camera tapes, Film , Slides , Audio Tapes and Audio Reels , bought Back to Life. We capture these and create new recording that will work on todays digital platforms.

Filming and livestream

Most of our filming is shot live – This means we have to get it right on the first take- there is no second take. We usually Livestream these events well
Our main areas are Sports, Funerals, and Dance concerts. We also shoot the usual social media clips and corporate events as requested.

Receptionist/Manager assistant

We are looking for a Front of House Receptionist with the ability to assist when required in the back of house. Principle duties will be liaising with the public, Record keeping and general instore duties. A willingness to learn how to operate a video camera and film would be an advantage

Hours can be flexible from 20 to 30 per week
