River levels along the Mitchell River at Glenaladale peaked just below the major flood level on Thursday afternoon. A flood peak near the moderate flood level is possible early Friday morning at Bairnsdale.

Moderate flooding is possible along the Mitchell River downstream of Glenaladale. The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale is currently at 6.42 m and rising, with minor flooding. The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale may peak near the moderate flood level (6.50 m) early Friday morning.
