Freddie Mercury said in the 80s:

"We are in the golden age of music, because there will come a time when technology will be so advanced that we will rely on it to make music, instead of pure talent... and the music will lose its soul".

One of the best love songs of the 80s, certainly one of the best Australian love songs. Beautifully written by David Skinner and Jon Kennet, Swanee really brings it to life with his superb vocals. ‘Lady What's Your Name’ the second single from his 1982 album ‘This Time It's Different’ peaked at No. 13 on the Australian charts, It should of been a top 10 hit for Swanee and done better on the charts. ‘Lady What’s Your Name’ ❤️❤️

Did you know Ann Wilson, the powerhouse voice behind Heart, was initially told she wasn’t pretty enough to make it in rock music? But instead of letting that criticism define her, she used it as fuel, becoming one of the most iconic and soul-stirring vocalists in rock history. Her voice is so powerful that it can cut through the loudest guitar riffs and leave you in awe. Songs like ‘Barracuda’ and ‘Crazy on You’are pure proof of that.

Here’s something jaw-dropping: Ann was self-taught on guitar and piano, yet her talent was so undeniable that she helped shape Heart’s sound from the ground up. Her four-octave range and bluesy intensity not only inspired generations of singers but also set a new standard for women in rock.

And did you know Ann Wilson was also a trailblazer when it came to songwriting. She co-wrote many of Heart’s biggest hits and was ahead of her time in an era when women in rock were few and far between. Ann didn’t just break barriers she obliterated them, showing the world that talent, passion, and heart would always come first.
