Greetings all
Before anyone else makes random accusations that CDP uses AI for our covers...

A couple of our artist / illustrators use Rebelle 8 which is a digital painting program.

Rebelle 8 images are often falsely flagged as AI-generated because the software's hyper-realistic digital paint simulation creates repeating textures, ultra-smooth gradients, and complex impasto effects that confuse automated AI detectors and online viewers.
The developers of Rebelle (Escape Motions) do not use generative AI features in the software, and they actively stand against AI art scraping.

And, you know, much more polite to contact us direct than bag us or our authors publicly on social media.

It's time for our next NEW BOOK announcement.

CDP is thrilled - as always - to herald the imminent arrival of the latest in a short-fiction Crime Wave series:

Sentenced Beyond the Seas: The Convict Constable's Casebook by Liz Filleul is set in Hobart Town in the 1830s.

Will Grafton is sentenced as a convict to Van Diemen's Land but on arrival is given a better option to serve out his time.

The linked short stories follow Will, his fellow convict constables, and Norah Cottman, the woman who steals his heart.

Melbourne author Liz Filleul is an award-winning short story writer, and a long-time member of Sisters in Crime Australia.

Sentenced Beyond the Seas is available for pre-order now, with a 20% discount until Sept 13.
