New work from 350 million years ago!

Monkeystack produced 3D animations to visualise Flinders University’s outstanding discovery of fossilised footprints - the oldest evidence in the world of a reptile-like animal walking around on land.

Working closely with the project team of subject matter experts, we created 3D animated scenes of the four-legged Amniote moving through a Prehistoric Carboniferous Forest environment complete with weather elements, bringing the story and scientific significance of the animal’s tracks to life.

“The Wansolmoana exhibition and digital interactive is a testament to the Australian Museum’s commitment to honouring Pasifika cultures, fostering meaningful dialogue and inspiring global, cultural institutions to engage authentically with diverse communities.”

Collaboratively designed to increase access to the Pasifika collections virtually in the Wansolmoana gallery space, here’s a look at the Wansolmoana interactive experience in numbers:
- Contains over 600 digital collection items
- With over 2000 individual images of collection items
- From 22 Pacific nations
- Designed for multiple simultaneous users
- On a 65” touchscreen
- Located within the gallery’s showcase of over 3000 objects
- Shaped through 5000+ community interactions
- Over 5 years of engagement with community voices

When we were asked to join forces with TRUCE Production Co. to bring the first animated Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Split Second film to life, we knew something special was about to happen.

We are incredibly proud to introduce Captain Buckle, the Split Second competition winning concept from the mind of animation student Olivia Hartanto and the result of an incredible creative collaboration.

Monkeystack worked with Department of State Development to create an interactive experience that puts South Australian projects on the map.

Expo attendees are drawn to the SA Government's booth and invited to explore a showcase of South Australian energy and minerals projects, multimedia content and project locations through a large touchscreen display.

The experience first launched at the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, instantly transporting industry professionals on-site in the Netherlands down to South Australia with a single touch.

Our ‘Know Before You Go’ Smartraveller animations have taken out Bronze at the AEAF (Australian Effects & Animation Festival) Awards!

We are thrilled that our work for The Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s flagship consular brand, Smartraveller, and Dentsu Creative PR has been recognised for creativity, artistry and storytelling that makes an impact.

The series of animated social media content has over 5.5 million views, stopping Insta-scrollers in their tracks with colourful characters representing different traveller personas, amusing touchpoints and engaging narratives.
