✈️ New info for Autistic travellers - Autistic people can now wear noise-cancelling headphones during airport security screening in Australia 🎧
This small but important change can help reduce sensory overwhelm and make travel a more accessible experience. It’s also a significant step toward more inclusive travel for Autistic people and others with hidden disabilities.
Our Autism Friendly team continues to work closely with airports across Australia to support accessibility and inclusion at every stage of the journey.
Please note: it may take some time for all airport staff to be made aware of the new rules. We encourage you to advocate gently, and know we’re continuing to train airport teams to help build more consistent, supportive environments.
