Two years today! Two years! Mark it in July 22nd 2028!!! Best solar eclipse for Australia since the 1900’s.

In two years today parts of Australia 🇦🇺 will go dark during the day as a total eclipse moves through from the north west to the south east. Skies will go dark in Sydney, central and NSW, south west QLD, central NT, northern WA and also southern part of South Island if NZ. Places like Brisbane and Melbourne will see the sun 3/4 blocked which will turn day into dusk especially if it’s cloudy.

For the total solar eclipse on July 22, 2028, here are the approximate times for Sydney:
Partial eclipse begins: 12:40 PM AEST.

Totality begins: 1:59 PM AEST.

Maximum eclipse: 2:01 PM AEST.

Totality ends: 2:03 PM AEST.

Partial eclipse ends: 3:14 PM – 3:17 PM

This will be a day to remember for nearly all of Australia!!

Another cold front is crossing Tasmania this Sunday morning! With another band of showers for the soggy north west!

Windy conditions will also prevail with further cold fronts to impact the apple isle the next 48 hours.
