The latest instalment of ‘3MDR Live Sessions’ will feature local artist and one-man-band looping machine great earthquake (GE). Tune that dial to 97.1FM or stream live at 3mdr.com at 5pm on Sat 12 July as GE takes us on a journey through the intriguing soundscapes of his latest album ‘Autobio’, as well as parts of the vast GE back-catalogue, that traverses the realms of pop to experimental sounds.
For the hour prior (4pm to 5pm), Daniel from ‘Do Your Thing’ will curate a collection of tracks exploring some of the influences and sensibilities of GE, or as live sessions host DJ Norman Weakly would say, “tune people into the frequency, influence the mood”. See you on the airwaves. :)

After the Ash Wednesday disaster of 1983, the first ideas were formulated to provide a broadcasting service for emergencies within the Dandenong Ranges. 3MDR Mountain District Radio was established and commenced broadcasting in 1985.
