Corryong Health welcomes Greg Pullen as Interim CEO
We are pleased to welcome Greg Pullen as Interim CEO of Corryong Health for the next six months, starting Thursday 13th March 2025.
Greg commenced his career in health in 1979 as Administrative Officer (Finance) at the Queen Elzabeth Geriatric Centre (QEGC) in Ballarat, and then from 1983 to early 1988 as Director of Finance for the same organization.
He then took on CEO positions at (what is now known as) Kyabram Health Services, West Gippsland Healthcare Group and Goulburn Valley. During this time, he also took on interim CEO roles at Nathalia and Yea health services, and managed campuses at Tatura and Rushworth as well as the main Shepparton campus. In 2009 he was appointed CEO of Northern Health with campuses at Epping, Preston, Bundoora, Broadmeadows and Craigieburn - the first regional CEO to be appointed directly to a metropolitan position in 40 years.
In 2013, Greg left the public health system to join Catholic Homes, a residential aged care and retirement living provider, before overseeing the merger in 2015 with Villa Maria, primarily a home based care and special education provider to form Villa Maria Catholic Homes (VMCH).
He then retired from full-time work in 2017 for health reasons. Some four and a half years ago, Greg was motivated out of retirement by boredom and accepted interim or acting CEO positions in support of different โin-transitionโ aged care facilities and health services. Those included rural and remote services such as Kyabram, Cohuna, Inglewood, Boort and Robinvale health services.
With regard to qualifications, Greg studied accountancy, holds a Graduate Diploma of Health Services Management and Master of Health Management degree from RMIT, and is both a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an associate member of the Australasian College of Health Services Management.
With an impressive background and a modus operandi to work on developing teamwork and keep driving performance, Greg will actively take on the reins of the strategic plan and developments underway.
We greatly appreciate the quick response from the Department of Health and Gregโs availability to start at such short notice.
