Students at Neerim District Rural Primary School have a new space to play and explore with the opening of a natural playground.

Featuring a 15 metre log, large boulders and a climbing net, the playground blends with the natural environment that surrounds the school and encourages risky play.

It's and this time we're back in October 2007 for a special cycling challenge!

The Tim McArdle Baw Baw Shire Bike Ed Challenge saw students from several local schools put their bike handling skills and road craft knowledge to the test. The challenge was named after Tim McArdle, a much-loved local doctor who died while riding his bike in 2002.

Pictured is Yarragon Primary School, the overall winner of the large schools section. Celebrating the win are (back, from left) Rebecca Wass, Josh Harlow, Brett Pyle, Robert Wallace, William Bagley, Georgia Pollard, (front, from left) Rachel Morgan, Meagan McKelvie, Cassie Po***ck, Alice Treloar, Mitchell Jolly, Georgia Fisher and senior constable Kevin McLaren from Victoria Police.

THROWBACK THURSDAY
Today we throwback to 1991 when Warragul High School celebrated its 80th anniversary.
More than 3000 people attended the weekend celebrations which included reunion dinners, a special church service and a Sunday barbecue.
Principal at the time was Don Welch.
