Only people who are not at peace with themselves feel the need to be cruel to others. Meanness is rarely about strength or confidence. It is often a mask worn by insecurity, frustration, and unhealed pain. When someone is truly happy within, they have no desire to diminish anyone else.
People who are content do not compete with strangers, attack differences, or look for faults to expose. They are too busy building, growing, and protecting what they have worked hard to become. Kindness comes naturally when there is nothing inside that needs defending.
Remember this when you face unnecessary harshness. It is not a reflection of your worth, but a signal of someone elseβs inner struggle. Hurt people project. Unfulfilled people criticize. Bitter hearts look for company.
Do not let someone elseβs unhappiness turn you into someone you are not. Stay kind without being weak. Stay firm without being cruel. The way you respond reveals your character, not theirs. π‘β
