Having been in marketing across hospitality, wellness and wine for over 15 years, with the past 9 involved in Digital Communications, it took her a while to find her own voice and comfort in the space, honouring the power of narrative and engagement, not just the path of sales. But it's not about numbers. It's about stories.

'Cos you're not. You're just finding your way. And it's possible that way *isn't* going to be about mass followers on Insta - a metric even Meta is moving away from. But that doesn't mean it isn't wonderful to share your story, and that it will be heard - by exactly the people that connect with it. 💗✨

After 2 years I have finished Level 4 Tarot with the incredible Jan Sansom 💗✨ As my boys would say, I’ve graduated from ‘Wooniversity’, which means I’m a Grand Master now…☺️

Over this period Tarot has become an incredible part of my Digital Coaching toolkit. It always speaks true and often helps clarify so much for the people I support. Its language of symbol, archetype, pattern and number is powerful and a brilliant strategic embedding activity when I work with people in this practical action x intuitive way.

Because you might’ve heard me say this before - but I’ve seen this over and over - strategy rarely works without alignment. And alignment more often than not needs some deeper tools to access.

You think that if you just got better at social media for your business; tried harder, worked harder, became more consistent, more disciplined... Maybe then it would all start to feel easy.

But instead, you overthink it.

You loop the same thoughts over and over again, question yourself before you post. Feel like it should look like huge followers or viral posts to even be 'worth' doing. To be ‘successful’. And visibility starts to feel heavy, like performance. Like something ‘you’re not good at’.

I know this because I have been there done that. And seen many authentic and heartled business people *just like you* over the years do this too.

But what I realised over this journey of helping people tell their stories online, is that the real reason is actually that social media for your business isn’t just a practical, doing, job. It’s an energetic one too.

And I think that’s the part we don’t understand until we’re in it. The part we don’t talk about enough.

For so many heartled business owners, it’s not simply about learning content strategy, posting more, writing better captions - doing better, being better. It’s about learning how to be online in a way that actually works *for you*.

Your nervous system. Your voice. Your rhythm and unique capacity.

Not somebody else’s formula or pace. Not somebody else’s version of ‘success’.

Because when you try to force yourself into a way of showing up that feels unnatural or performative, of course it becomes hard to sustain.

But when you find your own cadence? When you learn how to communicate in a way that feels grounded and human and possible for you?

You begin to realise that maybe you were never bad at social media at all. Maybe you just needed permission to do it your way.

Maybe the answer was never becoming somebody else online. Maybe it was simply becoming more fully yourself.

In the Age of AI I hope you really start to hear this: being yourself is your superpower now.

If you're a small business, you know it. But if you're not, I wonder if you realise how impactful this year has already been on this sector?

2026 is proving unlike anything we've seen before, and coming off the back of a pretty up and down 6 years since COVID, it definitely feels like the way we do business is fundamentally changing.

How we run them, how we sustain them and how people engage with them.

We work a lot with wine at Felt and no question this industry needs our support in a big way, but the high street is starting to be impacted too.

Rapidly increasing costs, compliance and low consumer confidence means we're in a perfect storm. And AI is accelerating all this change too.

So this is just a little championing of local in your scroll - if there is an opportunity to do this over fast moving consumer good or mega brands - please do.

As Futurist Natalie McNeil said in a recent post about the concept of a Parallel Economy - 'Where your money moves is a vote...' I'll link to the full post in my stories.

I listen to a lovely meditation podcast called The Chakra Way by Rosanne, which I highly recommend! And today I listened to her meditation on the Maya Angelou quote ‘Today is a wonderful day. I’ve not seen this one before’ and it prompted this reflection as I was forced to stay inside, instead of being out on my morning walk, because of the oodles of rain we’ve had in Adelaide this past week.

And it helped me to also reflect that in its simplest terms - this is what we do at Felt.

Help business operators make the time, gift it to themselves, be present in it. Then in the process support them to (re)connect to the heart of their heartled business. 💗

What a beautiful day of connection, collaboration and community. This beautiful group of heartled makers, creators and healers joined us for the inaugural Felt Workshop Wellbeing Market and as so many who visited us across the day said ‘it was a vibe…’. 💗✨

So warm, so nurturing, so caring. A treat of a day really. I know everyone who involved felt it because they said so! I think it is to be the first of many with all these stallholders keen to come again!

From delicious mini self-care sessions with one of the wellbeing practitioners, to talking through the process of creation with the artisans to our very own Felt Family Authentic Self and Adelaide Yoga Therapy who both brought their beautiful hearts and service to the day too. I am so grateful to Jaye for her wisdom on running these events and for the elements she brought which saved me having to invest - mini trestles, table clothes and those epic battery powered candles that really do make a space so ‘wow’. 🪄 Radha for her helping hands, Indian throws and those EPIC Choc, date and almond treats and STUNNING Mandala Plus my Mum, Jenn, who is always the best helping hands going - as she says ‘tea lady’ duties… ☺️💗

Watch this space for the next date soon. My vision was a nurturing and vibration-raising day out on a lovely village high street - with eateries on the doorstep to enjoy too - because we are meant to gift ourselves time for this space to reconnect and doing it in community lifts us all. And no question it was all of that and more. Onwards and upwards. 💗✨
