Here are your five key takeaways from today show:

1. Homelessness is broader than we think 🏚️ – Only 6% of people experiencing homelessness sleep rough. Most are “hidden homeless” couch surfing, living in cars, or staying in overcrowded or unsafe accommodation.

2. Small actions make a big difference 🤝 – Whether it’s donating, volunteering, starting a conversation, or breaking stereotypes, every gesture of compassion contributes to change.

3. Connection is as vital as shelter 💬 – Orange Sky’s work shows that dignity, conversation, and being seen can be as life-changing as meeting practical needs.
4. Self-care sustains us during hard times 🌿 – Looking after your mental, emotional, and physical health is not selfish; it enables you to better support your family and community.

5. Technology can bridge inequality 📡 – The NBN and Amazon Project Kuiper partnership will bring high-speed LEO satellite internet to over 300,000 regional and remote Australian homes and businesses, creating new opportunities for education, healthcare, and work.
