CAF π has finally issued sanctions following the chaos during the 2025 AFCON final.
βοΈ Sanctions for Morocco π²π¦
CAF has fined the FΓ©dΓ©ration Royale Marocaine de Football after disciplinary findings:
π° $200,000 for inappropriate behaviour by the stadium ball boys during the match.
π° $100,000 for improper conduct by players and technical staff, who entered the VAR review area and obstructed the referee, breaching fair play and integrity rules.
π° $15,000 for use of lasers by supporters.
β«οΈAchraf Hakimi π²π¦ has been suspended for two official CAF matches following disciplinary action for unsporting behaviour:
One match will be served immediately
One match is suspended for one year from the date of the decision
β«οΈIsmaΓ«l Saibari π²π¦ has been handed a three-match suspension in official CAF competitions for unsporting behaviour.
π° IsmaΓ«l has also been fined $100,000.
Senegal
βοΈ CAF has also sanctioned Senegal πΈπ³ as follows:
π° $300,000 fine for the improper conduct of supporters, which brought the game into disrepute.
π° $300,000 fine for the unsporting conduct of players and technical staff, violating principles of fair play, loyalty, and integrity.
π° $15,000 fine for team misconduct after five players received cautions.
βͺοΈIliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye πΈπ³ has suspended for two official CAF matches for unsporting behaviour towards the referee.
βͺοΈIsmaΓ―la Sarr πΈπ³ has suspended for two official CAF matches for unsporting behaviour towards the referee.
πΈπ³ Senegal head coach Pape Bouna Thiaw has been handed a five-match suspension from all official CAF competitions due to unsporting conduct, violating disciplinary principles of fair play and integrity, and for bringing the game into disrepute.
π° The Senegal Head coach has also been fined $100,000.
