I’ve had these in my camera roll too long. I got out with for a day run a few weeks ago. No video as I just wanted to enjoy the day. Got a massive 10.25 ct bomb and potentially a cutter at 2.95 ct💎

Learn a fair bit on this trip. Usually I get 50:50 in weight for zircons to sapphires but not this time. Less gold and zircons but bigger sapphires. A bit of a lesson I think but I want to test it again before I explain.

This is my first hunt of the year I’m am just getting around to posting. A fair few spendies in this one and some silver scrap which is always nice to use for casting. I found this nice Cragside fine silver bullion piece. I have a similar 375 5g one in gold. Fits nicely with the other star signs and fine silver bars. Found this lot while I was still on holidays on the Gold Coast just after Christmas.

Got out for a quick swing on the weekend to take my brother in law for his first time after the Luke Combs concert the night before. Nothing like a bit of ocean revival. | A couple of nice silvers and the shilling was a ✔️ off the bucket list which is always nice. The spot was very rubbishy so a lot of finds went straight in the bin but the beach is definitely cleaner. Still chasing a 1988 2c so the coinspiracy continues.

Haha well done on his 7+ ct sapphire in his second fossicking trip. Beat me last time too! Beginners luck still running hot.

The rest of the finds are mine 40+ CTs of sapphire, 40+ CTs of zircon and 0.24g of gold! What a trip!

I used to find all my best stones in the Vulcan State but with the help of some local knowledge this may be about to change. I still think the quality is on average better in the forest but damn the extra gold in the creek certainly sweetens the deal…
