On 27 September 2020, Artsakh came under attack, marking the beginning of a 44-day war that forever changed our nation.
Today, we honour the memory of the more than 5,000 soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of Artsakh.
Today, the injustice continues. Armenian prisoners of war remain illegally detained in Baku. The Armenian government continues to pursue “peace agreements” with Azerbaijan, legitimising the loss of Artsakh and failing to deliver justice for its people. Meanwhile, while the displaced people of Artsakh continue the difficult task of rebuilding their lives away from their ancestral homeland.
Remembrance demands accountability.
Our remembrance is not only for what was lost, but for the resilience, courage, and enduring spirit of our people. We remember Artsakh. We remember its defenders. We recommit ourselves to preserving the truth, pursuing justice, and carrying forward our national cause.
